Lexi Crawling

Thursday, December 18, 2008

On the Move

Well, Lexi is officially crawling now. She still likes to do her army or worm crawl, but she is actually do the real crawl now. She is also 8 months old today! Time flys :O) She is such a happy baby. She weighs 19 pounds, but I don't know how tall she is. We don't go back to the doctor until 9 months. She is getting better and better at bye bye (saying & waving) and when you say yea Lexi she will clap.

On another note, we are out for Christmas holidays tomorrow and basketball season is in full swing. I am back to being a single mom. Drew played Tuesday, Tonight, Tomorrow, Saturday & Monday - all on the road, except Tuesday. But it is leaps and bounds better than last year, because last year the week before Christmas Drew was in Florida in a basketball tournament.

We are so excited about Christmas. We are doing McBrayer Christmas lunch in Louisville this Sunday, and then everything else right around Christmas. We exchanged presents w/ Hunter last night at our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Lexi got a bubble machine for the bathtub, but I think Madyson likes it more than Lexi. Madyson got an Ariel umbrella - that she absolutely loves & an Ariel coloring thingy - for lack of a better word, she has already colored most the pages.

Lexi had her first Christmas party today. They had to take a book to exchange. Sherri said she did great - she only tried to eat the wrapping paper like 3 times. Madyson also had her Christmas party. I had to get books for her party too, but of course she ended up opening the ones I bought. They told us to get gender neutral, but they each ended up opening their own presents. I kinda thought they would so I got 2 books I knew Madyson would enjoy - Sticker books :O)

New Tricks

One of Lexi's new tricks. She is still not crawling, but she is starting to pull up. This was around Thanksgiving (yea, I am that far behind), but she loves to pull up in the bathtub. We also think she says MaMa, Bye Bye & Dada. But of course she never says it when we want her too.

Grandpa Power Update

First I want to thank everyone for their prayers. Grandpa's surgery went well. He will be in ICU for 24 - 48 hours. Dad got to see him last night & again this morning. About 12 hours after surgery he was up sitting in the chair & talking. He got taken off the vent last night. He said he was feeling good, just a little nauseous. Grandma is even coming to see him at the next visitation. Thanks again for all the prayers, but don't stop yet!

Just too cute

Its hard to believe my Lexi bug is almost 7 months. She is trying real hard to crawl, but so far she just goes backwards. She can go to town in her walker though.

UH - OH!

Halloween, after everyone left, Madyson & I were brushing our teeth before bed & heard a loud thump and then we heard Drew..."Holli, I need your help!" So of course Madyson & I went to the living room to see what happened. As you can tell from the pictures, he fell over backwards in the chair. I was laughing so hard, I was crying. Madyson, genuinely concerned, told me to quit laughing. Anyway, I told Drew to hold on (where was he going to go, ha!) & I went and got the camera - as you can see. As funny as the entire situation was - Madyson beat all! While I was laughing & taking pictures - Madyson told me to stop taking pictures and said, "don't put it on the blog, mommy." Another priceless moment, by Madyson!

PLAYING W/ FRIENDS

After trick or treating, the kids came back and played. Kids are just so cute!

Doctor Update

Well, we had Lexi's 6 months dr. visit today! She weighs 18 pounds on the dot & is 26 1/4 inches. She is tall & "chunky"(that was Drew's word) for her age, but he said she was doing great. Lexi did wonderful with her shots! She did have some fluid on her ears, but they popped them & the fluid should drain so they wont get infected.
Her big sister ended up having to see the Dr. too. Daycare called me this morning, telling me Madyson had fallen and scraped her face & I really needed to come see it. Mrs. Anita (owner) was really worried about it & of course had me freaked out so we took her to the Dr. She was bouncing around - normal Madyson, and fell & hit her check bone right under her temple. Nothing is broken or fractured, but she is going to have a major bruise! Madyson is 39 inches & 32 pounds.

Child's Innocence

Cute Story:

Monday, the girls & I went to the grocery store after school. I was looking at the cheese & a worker was working in the cheese section, scanning different cheeses - so we were standing right next to each other. The worker was not a small man, to put it nicely. And, as innocently as a 3 year old can Madyson said, "Mommy, he has a big belly." Embarrassed, I simply said "lets go Madyson" I never looked at him & never looked back!
Just thought this may make you smile :O)

6 Months Already :O)

Can you believe our Lexi Bug is already 6 Months old? I can't. She is such a good baby, too. We go to the Dr. Wednesday for check up & shots. I will let you know how much she weighs & how tall she is! She is sitting up so well, now! Madyson is still her most favorite person :o) She eats baby food at lunch & bottles the rest of the time. She pretty much sleeps through the night every night. She has set her own bedtime, usually around 7:30 every night. She loves to take a bath w/ her big sister - she just kicks & splashes & laughs at Madyson.

Love My Swing!

Today was the first day that we have put the lap bar across her in the swing, and as you can tell she loves it! So Yummy!!

Must be 21 to enter...

These pictures were taken in Mulligan's Lounge at Country Club. The girls & I took mom & great grandparents Hatch to eat since Tracy was working. We sat in the bar so that Tracy could wait on us & Grandpa could watch a football game. Madyson made herself right at home as usual... sat where ever including at the bar :O) It was okay, because the Club was dead. Lexi did wonderful in her high chair, this is the first real time she has sat in one & she sat there the entire time, just playing - smiling & laughing.

Just too Cute!

As cute as a bug.... My LexiBug....

Bouncy..Bouncy..Bouncy..

Hoppied Hop! Happy Lexi Playing in her bouncer.

Girls Girls Girls

Great Grandma & Grandpa Hatch came to town to visit. This is a picture we took after lunch at the Country Club. Lexi would never be still, so it was really hard to get a good picture.

Sitting Up

Watch me grow. I am getting so big. She is starting to get good at sitting alone. She can't sit herself up, but she can hold herself up (for a little while anyway) if you sit her up. In case you are wondering, I checked Madyson's baby book and she sat alone at 5 1/2 months. Guess how old Lexi is? :O)

Patty Cake

Madyson playing with Lexi. Lexi is absolutely fascinated with Madyson. She loves to watch her, & especially loves it when Madyson plays with her.

A FISH NAMED SUZIE!

MEET SUZIE THE FISH.
I told Madyson that when we gave the kitty away we would get her a fish. Well the 2 weekends ago, Aunt Allie was in a wedding. The centerpieces at the rehersal dinner were goldfish, so Allie brought one home. We weren't real sure if it would live, so I have put off putting it on the blog. Suzie lived at my parents for a week, before we finally got an aquarium for her. She now lives in Madyson's room. So far so good - she is still alive.
