The Groom's Cake

Samantha, this is what I want for Madyson's birthday cake! Ha, just kidding.

This is probably the most awesome cake I have ever seen. This was Ron's groom's cake. Let me explain a little for those who are wondering why any one would have a huge cheeseburger for a groom's cake. Ron owns a couple of bar and grill restaurants called Mug Shots. They have a challenge at the restaurant for anyone who can eat their entire Mug Shot burger your meal is on the house. He has restaurants in Hattiesburg, Jackson, Starkville and Tuscaloosa. If you have never eaten their you should check it out!!

We spent the weekend in Hattiesburg, because my cousin Caitlin got married. Unfortunately, Paige and James had to come to Columbus for a wedding so we didn't get to see them, but we they did let us stay in their house. (Thank you!) I totally forgot my camera, so I am depending on other people sending me pictures. Sadie is going to send me some, and as soon as she does I will posts some more pictures. Mom also has pictures she is going to send me. These are Aunt Cathi's from the wedding reception.

Katie is about a year older than Madyson. They have sooo much fun together. Katie was so cute in the wedding. Towards the very end she turned around and called Madyson's name and waved at her! She was the flower girl and did a wonderful job. Madyson and Katie had a great time together. They played together at the rehearsal dinner, and all day Saturday. We took the girls to Chucky Cheese's Saturday (wore Grammy out) Madyson had so much fun at the reception. She danced the night away!

Lexi is 1!

Okay, so I know she turned one last week, but it has been a busy week.

We went to the Dr. on Wednesday for our 1 year check up. It is hard to belive a year ago she weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. Now she is 23 pounds and 30 inches long. She is walking every where. Following Madyson around everywhere. She has 6 teeth (all very recently) Talks a lot, but most of it you don't understand. She loves to repeat you and does a really good job. She says mama, daddy, grammy, grandpa, No, ball, duck, thank you, more, bite, and many more. She loves ring around the rosies & happy and you know it, to slide, to swing, and to do what ever her big sister is doing. She likes tell you no by shaking her head, she thinks its funny.

I have really enjoyed her first year, and look forward to the many many more to come!

New Baby

Congratulations! Shannon Phillips Jones had a healthy baby boy at 1:26 am on 4/22/09. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. His name is Blaine Oliver

Walk like an Egyption

Madyson got to dance twice at the mall this weekend (good thing too b/c her daddy missed the first time.) There are more girls in her class than this, but I guess these were the only ones that didn't have something better to do. Allison got the 2nd time she danced on my camera, but it is side ways. I will try to post it later b/c she does a better job the second time around. - You will just have to twist your computer screen or tilt your head side ways!!

In all the excitement of Lexi's 1st birthday we cant forget that today is Samantha's birthday! Happy Birthday Samantha!! Thank you so much for all you do for us -- the cakes, the monogramming, the babysitting & being an awesome friend! Hope you have an awesome b-day!

Circus Tent

Aunt Allie, Grammy & Grandpa got Lexi this circus tent for her birthday. Madyson has a tent very similar to this one at Grammy & Grandpa's house and Lexi absolutely loves it! Every kid at the party loved the tent. They loved it sooo much we had to put it up because we were afraid they were going to break it!!

Lexi's new word "GO" As you can tell she gets a little distracted by her sister. She also knows Happy and You know it and Ring around the Roses. She says down and sits down. I tried to video her, but of course she wouldn't do it once I got the camera out. I will keep trying and maybe I can get both Happy and you know it and Ring around the Roses.
