I had my six week check up today (doesn't seem like it has been that long). Everything went great & I am completely released to go back to all that exercising & heavy lifting I like to do!! Well at least it is nice to know if I wanted to do those things, I am free to do so!
The girls got their pictures taken at Sears last night. Be looking for an email from me with a link to sears portriats. From there you should be able to see all the pictures & even buy any if you would like. If you didnt get the email & you would like to see them, please let me know.
Madyson has starting going to bed on her own. We have always had to lay down with her until she has fallen asleep & then try to sneak out. The past to nights she has been going to bed like a "big girl". Drew or I still tuck her in, but then we leave and she goes to sleep on her own. And she actually stays in the bed!! This is really great since Drew has practice on Sunday & Wednesday nights & I have to put them both to bed. Now is easy! We are so proud of Madyson. She is such a great big sister & now she is wearing big girl panties & going to sleep on her own. It kinda breaks my heart a little to know how fast she is growing up.
We had our one month check up today. I doesn't seem like a month has gone by already. Dr. Ski said she looked great! She is now 8 lbs 12 oz, 21 3/4 inches and growing like a weed! No shots this time, thank goodness. Daddy will take her for her 2 month check up b/c there will be shots!! Thank God for Daddies!! (and she has a great one!)
We have made it 2 days at daycare w/ No accidents. She is doing great. Keep your fingers crossed!
We got to hang out with Brandon, Samantha & Hunter along with Robert, Jenny & Sawyer. Sawyer & Lexi share the same birthday, only 15 minutes apart. Sawyer is just as precious as she can be. It was great to get to see them. Madyson & Hunter played while everyone else talked babies!!
We have sure came a long way from high school!!
God truly sends miracles when you never expect them. Wednesday afternoon daycare called because Madyon woke up crying hysterically saying ear hurt. We took her to the Dr. because every time she says it hurts, it is infected & sure enough both her ear canals were red & her right ear infected. Of course this happened the same day we were supposed to take pictures - had to cancel them.
Here is the Miracle part:
I kept her home Thursday, just for precautions and when she got up she said she wanted to wear big girl panties. We have been in Big Girl Panties for 3 1/2 days now & only 1 accident. We are so proud of her. She decided all on her own it was time & she has done great! We are so excited. Of course she still sleeps in a pull-up, but all other times we are a BIG GIRL! Our next test will come tomorrow, when we go back to day care for the first time in panties. Keep your fingers crossed!
It was a busy weekend this weekend. San-San came to town to meet her 3rd granddaughter & hang out with Madyson (and we didn't get one single picture), Drew played in a golf tournament with his dad, James & James' dad & Tracy Graduated from the "W". But wait it gets better, in honor of Tracy's graduation we had a graduation party at the house, unfortunatelly I missed out on all the fun with a 102.7 fever & was in the bed the whole night. Because I was sick, we missed out on lunch at Aunt Becky's, so we never even saw Paige & Taylor. Madyson ended up going to Hattiesburg Sunday with Grammy & G-pa Power, Great G-pa Power, & Aunt Allison to see Lesley as "Sandy" in Grease. Madyson did get to see lots of family while she was there & had a great time. She got to hang out with Great Grandma & Grandpa Hatch, Aunt Cathy, Aunt Lorie, Aunt Tina, & Katie.
